Pine Level Elementary School Ag Literacy Event
Feb. 22, 2024 1 pm
This event in conjunction with Sweet Grown Alabama will celebrate agriculture and SHORT the Squirrel, Alabama’s literacy mascot.
Following a press conference, Modern Farms will be read to classrooms by invited dignitaries, local farmers and Jackie Nix. Each classroom will be given a copy of Modern Farms to keep.

Jackie is the founder of Moo Maven, a public speaker and the independent author and illustrator of Modern Farms.
Jackie is a former animal nutritionist and Extension Agent who wants to teach the world about 21st century agriculture. She’s eager to come speak with your daycare, class, club or civic group. Jackie speaks to groups of all ages.
